Pastoral care

International House is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment, where difference is valued and the wellbeing of all residents is paramount.

Graduate students are supported by a residential tutor who lives in the Graduate Building, along with two senior students trained as Residential Assistants. Graduate students also have access to an on-call counsellor whose services are free and confidential.

Three trained Fair Treatment Advisors, usually tutors, are appointed to deal with any possible matters related to harassment and bullying. For more information on our Fair Treatment policy and processes, please refer to the summary of Melbourne Residential Colleges Discrimination, Sexual Harassment and Bullying Policy and Procedures.

Finally, as a department of the University of Melbourne, International House has access to the University's medical and counselling services.
