Residents at International House have the advantage of living not just in a community of scholars, but in a diverse population which promotes cross-cultural interaction and international understanding, as well as valuing individuality. International House provides a comprehensive tutorial program, which helps students succeed in their university studies, with residential tutors living amongst the students to provide both academic and pastoral support.
Located on Royal Parade International House is within walking distance of the University of Melbourne and offers students a home away from home. Each student has their own bedroom and is provided with all meals cooked by our exceptional kitchen staff. Students enjoy a range of facilities at International House 
including the library, computer room, wireless internet access, music rooms, recreation room, a tennis/basketball court and tutorial rooms to name a few.
The motto of International House is Fraternitas, which means ‘brotherhood’ in Latin. The contemporary context of our motto implies a fellowship of young men and women and a recognition of common humanity across cultural and national boundaries. The college crest highlights related ideals with its blue and yellow shield containing three migratory birds in the lower segment, symbolizing the distance many of our students have travelled to be with us.
