| Students and guests who do not have a computer can use the International House computer room, which is equipped with a number of computers (PC and Apple Mac), printers, a scanner and a photocopier. The computers are loaded with the Microsoft suite of software and connect to the internet via a broadband connection. International House offers fast internet connection from all bedrooms and wireless connection in communal areas. Students are able to download up to 2000mb of data free of charge per month, allocated at 500mb per week, with additional downloading available at a minimum cost (1 cent per Mb). Residents enjoy internet speeds up to 100mbs in their room. As a department of the University of Melbourne, International House also provides free internet access to and from Victorian Universities and other research institutes. |
