International House has a range of scholarships and bursaries for new and continuing students, to help alleviate some of the costs
associated with living away from home.

    Dawn Wade Scholarship Full fee 
    ($28,000 p.a.) for 3 years.
    • Australian citizen from a rural or regional location
    • Applied for the first year University of Melbourne Bachelor of Commerce through VTAC
    • Applied for a Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) via VTAC providing evidence of residence in a rural or regional area
    • Preference is given to students who have indicated on a SEAS application that they have experienced a disadvantaged financial background

    Clifford Family Scholarship

    Half fee ($14,000 p.a.) for 3 years.
    There are three available.

    • Australian citizen from rural or regional areas.
    • Applied for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) via VTAC providing evidence of residence in a rural or regional area
    • Preference is given to students who have also indicated on their SEAS application that they have experienced a disadvantaged financial background,* and
    • Applied for a first year University of Melbourne Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Biomedicine degree.
    William Buckland Foundation Resident Scholarship ProgramTotal of $40,000, paid over 3 years as annual college fee remissions.
    • Full time Bachelor of Agriculture student at the University of Melbourne
    • Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
    • Currently lives in a rural or regional area of Victoria
    • Provide evidence of disadvantaged financial background, and
    • Be commencing university studies at the University of Melbourne for the first time.

    Commerce at International House Scholarship Full fee 
    ($28,000)
    for 1 year. (there are two available)
    • Australian citizen from rural or regional Victoria
    • Applied for the first year University of Melbourne Bachelor of Commerce through VTAC
    • Applied for a Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) via VTAC providing evidence of residence in a rural or regional area

    • Applicant with the highest academic result from their final year of secondary education.
    Weickhardt Academic Potential Entrance Scholarship  Half fee ($14,000)
    for 1 year.
    • Australian student, and
    • Applicant with the highest academic result from their final year of secondary education.

    Mavis Jackson Academic Entrance Scholarship
    (Australian Students)

    Quarter fee ($7,000) for 1 year.

    There are two available.
    • Australian citizen
    • Demonstrable financial need, and
    • Demonstrable history of involvement in school and / or the local community.*
    1964 Alumni Scholarship $4,000 (one-off bursary)
    • Australian citizen from rural or regional Victoria
    • Applied for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) via VTAC providing evidence of residence in a rural or regional area, and
    • Preference is given to students who have also indicated on their SEAS application that they have experienced a disadvantaged financial background.*
    *Although not a primary criterion, the selection committee may consider applicants’ final high school results when selecting for this scholarship.

Once you have applied for a residential place at International House, you can download, complete and submit this form to apply for an IH scholarship.*  Please follow the instructions on the form carefully.
